His main critics were the white splash, and the desastrous match-ups against Combo decks such as Tendrils and ProsTides. Something I did agree to without finding a convenient way to deal with.

He must have thought of these, since he came up with this build.

I was... well I was jealous. He had all the good ideas I should have. But he also had the distance to find new solutions.

Let's examine his changes from my own build.
No more white. White tutors are replaced with black demonic ones. One Vial goes to, to let in another Demonic tutor. The Leonin Squire follow out to let in Mesmeric fiend. I know the card but never thought of it (I was off Magic during the Odyssey block). First tremendous addition ! As another maindeck creature, it can handle anything that could be dangerous, from disenchant to any key combo card.
As white and Squire out, the artifacts lands and plains leave room for basic swamps and forests.
Side is affected by white "un-splash". Both RoP leave. That gives room for another unco : Underworld dreams. 3 black manas are a lot for a single spell, but the card is such a bore for any mass drawing card that it's worth playing it.
Others changes are less visible. Let's notice 2 duress maindecked, no more evincar's justice (let's save our mana to bring Golgari Browscale from graveyard) and the addition of 3 ghastly demise, a clever choice in a heavily filling graveyard deck.
Last, Elves of deep shadows should allow a faster start, even if only 2 of them are in the decks (they share their slot with Yavimaya elders, more poweful by mid/end game)
There are also minor changes to some numbers of cards (4 Dimir house guard rather than 3, and the like).

Indeed, this build needs to be tested, but it should be a stronger deck that could make it to Tier 1.5.

Do you disagree ? Do we missed another spoiler ?
